Lecture Notes

You will find in the tables below the lecture notes for each section of each chapter. You may print it and fill them out during lectures. If you have a tablet, you can bring your tablet and fill them out on your tablet.

The lecture notes are based on the book Calculus, 8th Edition by James Stewart. All the exercises suggested in the tables below will be found in this book.

Chapter 15

We will cover most of the sections of chapter 15. The only section that we won't cover is 15.5 on the area of surfaces. This will be covered in Chapter 16 in more generality.

It is really important to go read the explanations in the textbook. This can help you understand the material presented during the lectures.

The answers to the odd numbers are in Appendix H of the textbook.

The material we will learn in the main chapters is based on a good knowledge of the material in Chapter 12. It explains how to represent a point in the 3D space and many useful formulas are presented (vectors, dot product, equations of many popular surfaces, etc.).

Here are the sections required

You may practice with some of the exercises from these sections. Try the odd numbered exercises at the end of each section. In this way, you can check your answer with the answer key in Appendix H of the textbook.
